Sasha Alvarado, LPC, ACS
Hi, I’m Sasha — a licensed therapist, certified sound healer, and someone who’s spent years supporting others through life’s most overwhelming moments. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the inner world—what we think, what we feel, and how we make sense of it all.
In my therapy practice, Inward Counseling in Little Silver, NJ, I help people slow down enough to notice their thoughts and start shifting the stories that keep them stuck. I use a wellness-based approach, rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, to support you in building more adaptive, self-affirming ways of thinking and coping. I truly believe we all have the power to heal—and my job as a therapist is to help you reconnect with that inner wisdom.
My journey into sound healing came at a time when I was personally craving peace. After years of trying to sit with traditional meditation, something finally clicked when I experienced a sound bath in a moment of deep overwhelm. The bowls dropped me into my body in a way I’d never experienced before. I felt safe, calm, and held—without having to say a word.
That’s what inspired me to get trained and certified in sound healing. I wanted to share this experience with others, especially those who find it hard to slow down or "turn off" their minds
About Heaven & Earth Sound Healing
Heaven & Earth was born out of the desire to create a soft, safe place for people to land. A space that allows for stillness, reflection, and reconnection—with your body, your breath, and the part of you that’s always been whole.
This practice brings together two worlds that have changed my life: the structure and insight of therapy, and the surrender and energetic shift that sound healing offers.
While sound healing isn’t therapy, having a practitioner who deeply understands the nervous system, emotional regulation, and trauma can make all the difference.
In our sessions, I hold space not just with the bowls, but with the clinical knowledge and grounded presence I’ve cultivated through years of one-on-one work. It’s not about fixing you—it’s about supporting you as you remember your calm, your power, your presence.
What Is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is a powerful, body-based modality that uses vibrational frequency—through instruments like crystal alchemy bowls—to help regulate the nervous system, calm mental chatter, and create emotional clarity.
Many of us are stuck in constant “doing.” We’re overwhelmed, anxious, and disconnected from our own rhythms. Sound healing gently helps shift you out of that stress response and into a parasympathetic state—what we call “rest and digest.” That’s where true healing happens.
You don’t have to do anything during a sound healing session. You simply lie back, close your eyes, and receive. The bowls do the work—gently guiding you into a meditative space where your body can recalibrate and your mind can soften.
Even if you’ve struggled with meditation or mindfulness in the past, sound healing often feels more accessible. It’s not about perfection or clearing your mind—it’s about making space to listen inward.
Certified by The Sound Healer’s Academy
I completed a 60-hour certification with The Sound Healer’s Academy, where I studied music theory, the chakra and endocrine systems, and the science behind sound and the nervous system. I continue to deepen this work as part of their alumni program.
Being certified means I bring not just intuition and intention to this work—but real technique, knowledge, and respect for the energetic field I’m holding space in.
When you combine that with my background as a therapist, the experience becomes something truly unique: a deeply safe, embodied space for your healing—emotional, mental, and energetic.
